On April 26, 2016, Black Sea Region Geopolitical Research Center, with the support of International Black Sea University organized I Joint Scientific Conference on the topic of: 

"Political, Security and Socio-economic environment of Black Sea / Caspian Region based on the processes in 2014-2015"

By the 11 students of the International Black Sea University were presented the following topics: 

1. Bako Kheladze – Russian -Turkish rivalry and its impact on the security environment in the Black Sea/Caspian Region

2. Zaza Mikeladze - Turkey's role and place in the Black Sea and Caspian regions

3. Katie Jebisashvili - US interest in the Black Sea region

4. Diana Khomeriki - Russia's geopolitical priorities in the Black Sea region

5. Nino Manizhashvili – US Geo-strategy in the Region, based on the current realities 

6.  Nana Abuladze - Main Foreign and national security priorities of Georgia toward the Black Sea/Caspian Region

7.  Lia Buchunteli - Russia's strategy in the Black Sea / Caspian region

8.  Timothy olubusie - China, as one of the major geopolitical players in the region

9.  Narmin Khalilova - A detailed and comparative analysis of the conflicts in the Black Sea / Caspian region

10. Ana Chubinidze. EU Eastern Partnership Program and its role in the Black Sea region

11. Nika Gonashvili. Black Sea Security Dimension in Modern World

At the end of the conference, the certificates were delivered to each presenters. By the decision of the scientific commission, represented by the Professors of the International Black Sea University three best presentations were evaluated by scientific board of the conferences and are chosen as best. The winners were given special prizes.
